Father, son both drown in pool

HOUSTON According to authorities, the family of four were swimming in a backyard pool at a home on Williams Circle at Edens Borou in northwest Harris County. The mother took the youngest child inside to change a diaper.

When she returned, she reportedly found her husband and her three-year-old son at the bottom of the pool. The mother pulled the little boy out of the pool by herself, and then got a neighbor to help pull her husband out.

The husband died at the scene. The three-year-old boy was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight, where he later was pronounced dead.

An investigation is underway.
