Elementary school evacuated in Kemah

KEMAH, TX According to a spokesperson for Clear Creek ISD, around noon a staff member at La Vace Stewart Elementary School noticed a black bag in the driveway of the school. As a precaution, police, including SWAT members, were called out to check it out.

Students were moved out of the building to be on the safe side.

Officials used a water cannon to destroy the object. Nothing dangerous was found inside, and the all-clear was given.
