A bolt of lightning hit a Pasadena house and set it on fire.No one was home around 3:20pm Tuesday when the lightning struck the house along Fairmont Parkway at Country Road. Firefighters say the fire was contained to the attic over the living room area. The homeowner had gone to pick up her granddaughters from school and returned to find fire crews at her house.

"It's strange. You're not ever the one that something this happens to," said Patricia Norris. "We were thinking about remodeling the house but I didn't want it remodeled this way."

The house has fire, smoke and water damage. No one was injured.
