Dynamo announcing hiring of new VP

HOUSTON The team announced on Monday that Rocky Harris has accepted the position. Harris' resume includes three years as director of sports and marketing sponsorships at Reliant Energy, nearly three years as director of media relations and communications with the Houston Texans and worked in PR with the San Francisco 49ers.

Harris obtained a masters degree in sports management from the University of San Francisco and a certificate of leadership from Rice University.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Rocky on board," Dynamo Chief Operating Officer Chris Canetti said. "He is an extraordinarily talented individual that brings a high level of experience to our organization. I am looking forward to the professionalism, productivity, and results that he will add to our business."

Harris was honored with the American Marketing Association's Crystal Award in 2006 and 2007 for best promotional campaign.
