Authorities said the man had been shot. The motive does not appear to be robbery because the person's wallet was not taken.
"While we are ruling out probable robbery at this time, we are still keeping our avenues open," said Ryan Chandler with the Houston Police Department. "We don't believe it is the result of a robbery right now."
Authorities are looking for people who may have seen or heard anything.
