Woman shot in neck in northwest Harris County near Cypress, authorities say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman was shot in the neck in northwest Harris County near Cypress, authorities say.

It happened in the 19600 block of Hardwood Ridge Trail Tuesday afternoon. According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman, the woman was found with a gunshot wound to the neck.

SkyEye flew over the scene, which showed a heavy police presence in a residential area.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting and details on a suspect were not immediately released. The woman's condition was also not released.
