Local community leaders gathered to show unity against terrorism and to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack in Istanbul Turkey.

Community leaders, faith leaders, local and U.S. elected officials attended the prayer vigil held at the Raindrop Turkish House inside the Turquoise Community Center. The goal was to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the airport bombing in Istanbul and to show unity in support against terrorism. Guests included Sugar Land Mayor Joe Zimmerman, U.S Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, President Bangladesh American Center Shah Haleem, Candidate for Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Former Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia, President CEO Interfaith Ministries Martin B. Cominsky, M.J. Khan and President of Raindrop Turkish House Mehmet Okumus
