HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators say a group looking to honor a loved one was attacked by suspects impersonating police.
This happened around 12:30 a.m. on Werner Street in north Houston.
Family and friends gathered at the house to remember the former homeowner who recently died.
During the gathering, the Houston Police Department says four men wearing tactical gear, ordered people on the ground, attacked them, and then ransacked the house.
ABC13 spotted investigators picking up vests they say the suspects wore.
Officers say one of the suspects pistol whipped a man in the face, and caused minor injuries to another.
"These people were ordered to the ground," HPD officer Rick Barajas said. "These people used police tactics. They don't know exactly if anything was taken. So, that's still under investigation right now."
Three of the suspects were arrested.
Officers are still looking for one man.
Police didn't provide a description of the man they're looking for, or release information on the suspects arrested.
As for what the men might have taken when they went through the house, officers aren't sure.
