It's called the "Black Friday creep" -- stores wanting to be the first to open their doors to holiday shoppers have been moving their hours earlier and earlier. It's now to the point where some retailers aren't even bothering to wait for Friday and will open Thanksgiving Day.
The creep has not come without controversy. There are petitions demanding stores respect the holiday and remain closed and Radio Shack has backtracked off its plan to be open all day on Thanksgiving. The store will now be open from 8 a.m. until noon and then reopen at 5 p.m. after facing backlash from employees and shoppers. Other stores are proudly stating that they will remain closed Thanksgiving Day so that employees may spend the holiday with their families.
Check out the gallery above to see which stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day and which will wait until Black Friday.
