TITUS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- We have sad news to report after a Texas high school coach was killed Thursday night in a violent accident near Dallas.
The crash happened when a semi-truck driver swerved into oncoming traffic, according to investigators in Titus County.
The 18-wheeler collided with a school bus carrying a boys' track team from Mount Pleasant.
An assistant track coach, who was following the bus in a car, was killed when the semi-truck driver then slammed head-on into his vehicle.
The driver of the 18-wheeler also died in the accident.
A school bus driver and 17 track team members were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
