MAGNOLIA, TX -- One of the co-defendants accused of being an accomplice in the capital murder of a Magnolia man nearly two years ago is scheduled for trial this week in the 221st state District Court.
Mikhail Demond Drake, 22, of Hockley in Harris County, is charged with assisting David James Williams Jr. in the killing of 37-year-old Alfredo "Tony" Medina during a robbery at his Magnolia home Nov. 25, 2012.
Williams pleaded guilty to murder in April and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Drake and co-defendant Justin Ray Story, also 22, of Cypress, also face capital murder charges as accomplices.
