HPD investigating deadly shooting in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed Thursday evening in northwest Houston.

The shooting happened at about 7:45 p.m. in the 5600 block of Antoine at Tidwell, near the Forest Lake Community.

Officers say one man was chasing another man with a rifle, and now one of them is dead. Police didn't immediately say who the victim was.

Neither a description of the suspect nor the identity of the victim was immediately released.

This is an ongoing investigation.
