SANTA CLARITA, CA -- Six Flags Magic Mountain's revamped "New Revolution" ride features a virtual reality element that is sure to rattle the calmest roller coaster enthusiast's nerves.
Eyewitness News reporter Chelsea Edwards attempted to conduct an interview while braving the new ride. Needless to say, the interview went out the window.
The "New Revolution Virtual Reality Coaster" partnered with Samsung Gear VR and Oculus, the amusement part said on its website.
The ride includes a wireless headset, which displays 360-degree images and views that are synchronized to the action of the roller coaster.
The New Revolution opens to certain season pass-holders on Saturday. It is set to open to everyone on April 21.
This coaster replaced the old Revolution, which closed last September.
