The accident happened while the truck was making the turnaround for Highway 225 at Beltway 8 East. The 18-wheeler was carrying about 4,300 gallons of hydrochloric acid at the time. About 100 gallons have spilled onto the ground, along with some diesel fuel, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

There are no injuries reported, and no danger to the community at this point, according to the the fire chief, but there are concerns about environmental impact.

An environmental company has been brought in to clean up the spill.
