The violence took place in the Pine of Northwest Crossing apartment complex in the 7400 block of Hillmont near Hollister, just off Highway 290. Houston police are now calling this an execution-style shooting because all the victims were shot at close range. Two women and one man are dead inside the apartment and the killers are at large.
Neighbors called 911 when they heard gunshots around 6:15 Sunday evening. When police arrived they found three victims inside an apartment at The Pines at Northwest Crossing. They had been shot multiple times with more than one weapon, police say, one of which was a shotgun. There were signs of forced entry and the loft-style apartment was torn apart.
Police are classifying this as a home invasion. Eyewitnesses reported seeing three or four people leaving the scene shortly afterwards, and one had a shotgun. If you have any information, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
The victims have not been identified. Police will only say they are all adults.
