On Monday, a judge gave temporary custody of 'Baby Carlos' to close friends of the mother's family. The 16-year-old mother is still charged with abandoning a child. Investigators said she put the baby in the dumpster just hours after she gave birth.
She's claimed she thought the baby was dead.
