It wasn't until recently that investigators were able to get the child to describe the suspect well enough to develop the sketch.
On November 6, 2013 at about 4:15 pm the boy was walking home from his school bus stop in the 11300 block of Canyon Shore Dr. in Humble when he was confronted by the suspect who exited his pickup truck to speak with the 12-year-old.
The suspect told the boy to get inside the truck. When the child refused, the suspect grabbed the boy's wrist and displayed a handgun. Authorities say the 12-year-old then swung a backpack at the suspect and managed to run away. The suspect jumped back into his truck and followed the boy to a nearby neighborhood recreation center where the boy called his mother. The suspect then fled.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 20-30 years of age with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5'7" to 5'10" tall with a skinny build and has a tattoo on his right forearm of a "knife through a skull with a rose flower on top of the skull." The suspect was driving a black colored 4-door pickup truck, unknown make and model.
If you have any information on the identity and/or location of the suspect, you'r asked to contact the HCSO's Special Victims Unit at 713-967-5743 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
