DA Devon Anderson today launched a public safety campaign to protect tax filers. It's a pamphlet that describes common tax scams and how to avoid them. It also explains what's being done by the IRS and DA's office to investigate, as well as information on how to find a reliable or trustworthy tax preparer.
The pamphlet is available in both English and Spanish and can be downloaded from the Harris County DA's website.
