Officials said firefighters were the first responders on scene. According to witnesses, a man came out of a home in the 4300 block of Clover Street near Bellfort Street and Highway 288 and asked someone to call 911.
When firefighters arrived just before 7pm, they called police.
Officers found a woman dead inside the home. They said there were no obvious signs of trauma.
The man was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman's cause of death. This case remains under investigation.
