Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies found shell casings at a home on Sharpton near Moorebrook. Investigators say the victim was shot during a party at the home, but he wasn't found there.
The victim reportedly fled the scene after he was shot, driving several blocks until he crashed into a ditch on West Road near Veterans Memorial just after midnight.
When officers found him, he was covered in blood. Paramedics rushed him to Ben Taub General Hospital.
We're told his prognosis is grim.
Deputies have not said what led up to the shooting or if they have a suspect in the case.
