A wild crash damaged two homes in northwest Harris County, but the families inside were fortunate to be unhurt.

The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department and Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to the accident. Investigators say the driver lost control and struck two homes. The second home partially collapsed after the crash.

The driver was taken to the hospital by Life Flight. We don't know the extent of his injuries, but he is said to be alert and talking at the hospital. Deputies don't believe intoxication played a role in the crash. Instead, they think the driver may have suffered a medical condition.

The families in the homes at Plantation Point Drive and Little Pine Lane were not hurt.
