The HROU, which is the county SWAT team, was called to assist the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office at a home in the 13200 block of Ambrosa at Siera Drive, near Tidwell and East Beltway 8 in the Sierra Ranch subdivision.
According to officials, a male subject discharged a weapon several times in his residence. HROU members were attempting to coax him out of the home.
The standoff ended peacefully and the man was taken into custody.
No additional details were released. Pct. 3 deputies will consult with the district attorney's office for charges.
