The hospital says included in the information are names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and some medical information.
Hospital officials contacted the Houston Police Department and now an investigation is underway. The incident is also being reported to the Department of Health and Human Services.
According to the hospital, they're contacting the patients and offering one-year free subscription to an ID theft prevention service.
