Suspect nabbed in Conroe underage sex sting faces second charge

HOUSTON

Daniel Taylor, 28, is charged with indecency with a child.

He first made headlines after he was named as one of the five suspects arrested earlier this month during an online solicitation sting set up by Conroe police.

Police say a woman watching the news recognized Taylor and became suspicious because her 14-year-old daughter had spent time with him over the summer. The mother spoke with her daughter and learned that she allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with Taylor.

The woman contacted Conroe police and detectives began looking into the case. That's when they filed a second charge against Taylor.

Taylor, who had already been released on bond for the first charge, was arrested Friday. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held on a $100,000.

Authorities have said Taylor is married with three children and two stepchildren.

All the men are currently out of jail on bond.
