La Porte, Baytown residents win $1 million from Texas Lottery

HOUSTON

A man from Baytown purchased the $1 million Extreme Cash Blast scratch off game Monday from the Jacks Grocery in the 5000 block of the East Freeway. The retailer is now eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Meanwhile, a woman from La Porte claimed a Powerball ticket worth $1 million on the same day. She'd bought the ticket for the drawing held October 23. Her ticket was purchased at Mr. Jake's Food Mart in the 1000 block of Forest Park Boulevard in Fort Worth.

Only one ticket, which was sold in California, matched all six numbers for the $216 million Powerball jackpot. That week's winning numbers were 3-23-31-34-47.
