Saturday take the kids head over to over at Discovery Green to catch a screening of the romantic comedy "Moonrise Kingdom," starring Bruce Willis and Bill Murray and for the kids come early for candy giveaways, mad scientist and prizes. The fun starts at 6pm.
If spooks are what you are missing head over to Market Square for the free movie screening of cult classic "Beetlejuice," starring Michael Keaton and Geena Davis. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets and arrive early for a good spot. The movie is presented by the Alamo Draft House and starts at 7:30pm Friday.
On Sunday head back to Discovery Green for the Fall Fun Festival presented by Houston Family Magazine. Enjoy free face painting, henna, and activities for the kiddos at every tent, arts and crafts, bounce houses, hooping, and more! There will also be door prizes, music and line-dancing, plus performances on stage throughout the day. Arrive early because Houston Family magazine swag bags will be given out to the first 500 families.
This is the first weekend in November so that means take advantage of the clear skies and head to the Houston Zoo or participating museums for the Museums on Us event presented by Bank of America. Just take your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch debit card to the ticket window to get free admission all weekend but remember only card holders with proper id get to participate in this freebie.
Over at City Centre let the kids party at the Imagine Kids Magazine 4th Annual Children's Festival Saturday from noon to 5pm. Radio Disney will be presenting the Radio Disney Road Show along with music, games, costumed characters, magic tricks and more! City Centre is located at 800 Town and Country Blvd.
And recover from the candy diet by heading over to Red Lobster's Facebook page and print out the coupon for a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal. The coupon is good Monday through Thursday until November 7.
