According to Tim Miller with EquuSearch, the two north Houston men were at the beach Saturday afternoon around 3pm when rip currents swept them away from the shore. Another person was rescued, but the men remain missing.
Strong currents were hindering the search effort.
By early afternoon Sunday, the Coast Guard had suspended their search, but EquuSearch volunteers remained involved in the effort.
