The situation began at about 9am at a home in the 20300 block of Belleau Woods near Upper Lakes. According to a Houston police spokesman, the man sent his estranged wife a text threatening to commit suicide. The wife then called the man's neighbor, who happens to be in law enforcement, to check on the man, and he called the authorities.
HPD SWAT was called to the scene. They're trying to communicate with the man, but he has so far refused to come out. He is believed to be armed and alone in the house.
