The accident happened on the Carnival Magic while in the Gulf of Mexico Tuesday morning. The cruise line says a 39-year-old man was sitting on his cabin balcony railing when he fell onto an open deck area three decks below.
The Magic is on a seven-day cruise to the Caribbean. It left out of Galveston last Sunday.
