It happened around 5pm in the 3600 block of Three Sisters Street near the Eastex Freeway and Little York Road.
According to deputies, about a dozen people were in the back yard for a pool party when someone noticed the four-year-old boy under water. They pulled him from the pool and began CPR until emergency responders arrived and took over.
An ambulance transported the child to Texas Children's Hospital, but he was dead by the time they arrived.
It's unclear how long the boy was under water. We're told he was related to the homeowners.
HCSO Homicide was at the scene Saturday night. This case remains under investigation, but officials are calling it a "tragic accident."
