An HPD officer tried to pull over a suspect in a Chevy suburban, but he took off. During the chase, the officer crashed his cruiser at Beltway 8 and Bellaire. He was not hurt.
The suspect continued driving and crashed nearby on United and the Beltway. The SUV rolled over. The suspect was not hurt and was arrested. His passenger was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
No word yet on why they were chasing the suspect.
