Domestic dispute call turns into police chase in SE Houston

Police in southeast Houston used a police dog to help them catch a suspect.

Authorities say this started out as a domestic disturbance on Broadmoor and Telephone around midnight.

Police say officers were taking a report from a woman about her husband assaulting her, when the man drove by them. Officers tried to stop him, but he took off. After a short chase, the suspect jumped out of his vehicle and ran.

Officers used a K-9 unit to lead them to the suspect hiding in a neighbor's backyard. He's in jail this morning facing a list of charges.
