Residents at an apartment complex on Westheimer called police around 3:30am after spotting an SUV in their driveway.
When police arrived, the SUV took off, but police pulled the car over. The driver jumped out and tried to run and was tackled by officers. He didn't have a license.
Police searched the vehicle. They found cash and burglary tools in a backpack plus pictures of two businesses across the street. Police say the men broke into the rear of a cleaning business and then cut a hole into a check cashing business next door.
