Timothy Wayne Bailey of Corpus Christi pleaded guilty in January to a charge of sexual exploitation of a child. The 38-year-old was sentenced in federal court Monday.
Authorities say Bailey came to the attention of law enforcement during an undercover investigation, and that he was distributing images of child pornography online.
They say a search of his home also revealed Bailey had sexually abused a family member. The relative during interviews with investigators said the abuse lasted more than four years.
Bailey was arrested in December and has been in custody since that time.
