Two people are in the Montgomery County jail after leading police on a wild high speed chase overnight.

This all started in Conroe after police say they spotted the suspects breaking into cars at a hotel. When officers tried to make an arrest, the suspects took off.

They caused an officer to crash at FM 1960 and Interstate 45. Then they slammed into an injured bystander's vehicle on Hanley Lane near Percy Road before crashing themselves a few blocks down the road.

There is no word on the bystander's condition.

The suspects have been identified as Shanta Washington and Lorenzo Lewis. They face charges of breaking into cars and evading arrest.
