This happened off Holmes and Kirby at around 4:30am at what appears to be a storage yard facility for heavy equipment. Dump trucks, bulldozers, 18-wheeler trailers and other equipment can be seen on site.
Investigators tell us two workers were moving a piece of equipment, similar to a Bobcat or front loader, when the operator didn't realize his co-worker was behind him and accidentally backed over him.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The area is poorly lit and is muddy. Police are treating this case as a workplace accident.
