It started south of downtown Houston on Highway 288 near Almeda-Genoa. That's where the suspect was involved in an accident, police say.
According to officials, the suspect took off and the other driver followed him and called police.
Officers chased the man into a neighborhood where he eventually stopped on Twisted Brook and Jewel Meadow.
Investigators say the suspect will be charged with evading arrest. They are also investigating whether he was intoxicated.
