Two deputies responding to a chase were injured when they crashed in northwest Harris County Tuesday afternoon.

It happened a little after 4pm near Stuebner Airline near FM 1960. The squad car the deputies were in reportedly crashed with another vehicle. The squad car flipped on its side.

"We heard the bang and we were looking through the window and that's when I saw the police car flipping over, so we just hurried up to rescue the guys," said witness Omar Hatamleh.

Hatamleh went on to say that one of the deputies made it out of the vehicle while it was still on its side. The other was able to get out after the vehicle was uprighted.

Both deputies were both taken to Northwest Medical Center. We're told their injuries are minor. The other driver involved was not hurt.

As for the original chase, we're told the driver did pull over two people were arrested. It's unclear why they fled in the first place.
