The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the accident Sunday night killed Joe Campos Jr.
Authorities say Campos was attempting to take an Interstate 10 exit when his car hit a concrete barrier and burst into flames. Deputies say the impact left the driver's side door stuck.
Investigators say Campos managed to crawl out a window to escape the flames but lost his balance and fell off the roadway, tumbling about 100 feet to a lower highway.
Campos was dead at the scene. Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
