It happened around 2am on Fondren at Richmond.
The victim was in his car when police arrived. It is not clear whether he was in the vehicle when he was stabbed or if someone put him in the car because they were trying to get him help.
He was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital. At last check, he was in critical condition.
No other details were released.
