The shooting happened on Highway 6 near Westpark. Deputies say the victim was walking along the road when a car pulled up to him and someone in the vehicle started shooting.
The victim was hit twice, once in the arm and in the chest. He was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The gunman got away. Deputies don't have a motive.
