The man was sleeping near the Gulf Freeway and Scott Street with his legs extended into the feeder road around midnight.
Police say the man, who is homeless and in his 60s, has been living along the street for several years. He is expected to be OK.
They say the driver of the truck kept going after running over the man's legs, but may not have even known what happened.
