Diana Lopez was eliminated from the taekwondo competition Thursday and then on Friday, two-time gold medalist Steven was eliminated in his first bout.
But now it's clear what happened. Both Lopezes were dealing with injuries. Diana had a meniscus tear. Steven had a broken fibula that he suffered two weeks ago in training.
Hats off to both for still giving it everything they had.
