Missing boy reunited with mother, two in custody

HOUSTON

Harris County Sheriff's Office issued an Amber Alert on Saturday afternoon. It was canceled the same evening after the boy was found safe. His only visible injuries were a couple scratches on his forehead.

The child, who goes by "EJ" went missing around 7pm Friday from the Summerwood subdivision in northeast Harris County. He was with his mother's boyfriend, Roderick Earl St. Julian -- a known drug user, officials said.

St. Julian was with EJ when he was found. HCSO detectives tracked him to the 1400 block of Force Street where they stopped his car. EJ was inside.

Charges are peding against St. Julian, officials said, but authorities have not identified the second person in custody.

Meanwhile, EJ's mother is just happy he is back in her arms. They were reunited Sunday night at an HCSO substation in southeast Houston.

"I just was hoping he was going to be safe," she told us.

No additional details were immediately available. This case remains under investigation.
