Tomball teen accused of impersonating officer

TOMBALL, TX

On Sunday, a woman told Tomball police that she was riding in a car with her 16-year-old son driving when a vehicle got behind them flashing blue and red lights. She and her son believed they were being pulled over by a police officer, and stopped on the side of the road.

Once they pulled over, the woman says the vehicle turned off the flashing lights and drove away. She wrote down the license plate number and called police.

Police say they found the home of the registered owner, and the homeowner told officers that her son, Clayton Davis Kelly, was driving the truck at the time.

Kelly, 17, reportedly admitted to pulling various people over on traffic stops throughout Harris County prior to June 3. He also led police to the location where he hid the police lights, according to court documents.

Bail has been set at $5,000 for the felony charge of impersonating a public servant.
