Computer glitch leads to $1/gallon gas in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX

So many people came out to the gas station that one driver told us the Conoco ran out of gas.

Because of the error, people were able to pump gas for one dollar per gallon. And that news reportedly spread on Facebook.

That was the case for several hours until about 1:30am. Drivers we spoke with said they couldn't help but take advantage.

"So I pumped my gas. I got it for $10," said driver Benito Cruz. "Ten dollars to fill up my whole tank."

Cruz tells us it's usually four times that much to fill up his tank.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.92. In Texas, it's nine cents cheaper at $3.84. Here in Houston, the average stands at $3.89

We haven't even hit Memorial Day yet, which is when we typically see prices spike.
