The Texas City Police Department says firefighters responded to a blaze at a residence on 10th Ave. near 9th Street shortly after 2pm. The fire was isolated to one room and was extinguished.
According to police, an unidentified body was found inside the house. An investigation is underway.
No word on the age or gender of the victim.
