HPD Chief: Undercover deputy may have been shot by friendly fire

HOUSTON

Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland says there is a possibility the deputy may have been hit by HPD friendly fire. The chief added that HPD's Internal Affairs division is investigating the shooting.

The deputy was wounded during a narcotics operation Monday in northwest Harris County. A confidential informant was killed and two suspects were wounded.

We're told the deputy is in good condition today.
