College Station police on Friday identified the slain man as 68-year-old Edwin Shaar Jr. Police say his body was discovered Thursday night in a garage at the residence.
A nursing official at College Station Medical Center told The Associated Press that 69-year-old Linda Shaar was in stable condition. Investigators say the injured woman, who was located inside the home, was able to provide information to officers about a possible suspect.
Police early Friday did not provide additional details on how the victims were attacked.
