Police were called to the Quail Meadows apartment on Telephone Road around 2:30am.
Passersby spotted the body lying outside unit 203. He had been shot in the chest. Police say they have two witnesses who might have heard the gunshot.
They have no suspects and are asking for the public's help. It is not clear if the victim lived at the complex.
